![]() ![]() Thank you in advance for your help or ask your own question. Actual: The overlay effect is not working, and the normal scrollbar is displayed, causing the content to shake when hovered over. My meta tag looks like: I have read some solutions that recommended some tweaks to this, but everything I have tried seems to preserve that horizontal scrolling. The overflow property specifies whether to clip the content or to add scrollbars when the content of an element is too big to fit in the specified area. 1 day ago &0183 &32 Expected: When hovering over the element, an overlay scrollbar should appear without affecting the layout of the content. ![]() I would not be opposed to use jQuery or JS to do this, just haven't discovered something that works. I found some resources on how to disable horizontal and vertical scrolling by just adding overflow: hidden to the body, but my page does need to scroll vertical, so this doesn't solve the problem. I'd like to just continue to use this code and prevent horizontal scrolling. I have tried to wrap test div in another div, then set that div's width to 100%, but that resizes the contents inside my test div. The overflowing content can appear on the left and right edges, so you can clip it, or add horizontal scroll bars to the element. I know it's because my width is set to 1500px (I am putting it in the middle with my positioning), and I know that mobile browsers ignore overflow-x on body, but is there a way to get rid of the horizontal scroll on mobile? This works well, but when I view on mobile, I can still scroll over to the right. It’s vertical scrolling with an interaction that moves elements in our viewport as we scroll. But, here’s the secret it’s not horizontal scrolling. On mobile, I have it absolutely positioned, so the logo can stay in the middle. Horizontal scrolling Horizontal scrolling fully engages visitors by using a unique interaction that changes their scrolling experience from vertical to right to left. When it's in desktop view, everything looks great. Note: Because we made these changes on the Tablet breakpoint and because changes cascade down, the updates won't affect the Desktop breakpoint but will appear on both Mobile landscape and Mobile portrait breakpoints.I have a splash page that uses pictures as it's background.
